STONERIVER VINEYARDS

VINEYARD INFORMATION:

All of our vineyards have been independently certified LIVE sustainable and Salmon Safe since 2012. LIVE is the highest certification in the world for sustainable viticulture. No herbicides have been used in our vineyards since 2017.

2018 GROWING CONDITIONS:

StoneRiver Vineyard’s 2018 growing season was characterized by a relatively mild and dry winter, a cool spring, and a dry and warm summer. Our winter temperatures were close to average. Neither our Upper or Lower vineyards experienced any freezing. A moderately cool spring resulted in bud break starting a little later than usual and a slightly warmer May through August resulted in plant growth that was closer to our annual average. Our 2018 vintage growing degree day totals were above average, similar to 2017 but under records set in 2015 and 2016. All in all, 2018 was a great year for memorable wines.

FOOD PAIRING

Chardonnay wine pairs excellently with Brie-style cheeses. Keep spice and flavor intensity low while accentuating creamy, buttery flavors and textures. This is a wine worthy of lobster.
