"A little Torch and a lot of Soul" is a recent description of singer/songwriter, Jen Ambrose. A rich blend of Blues, Jazz, Rock, Soul and Americana music characterize her songwriting diversity. Her singing began at the age of 4 when she joined the church choir. As a multi-instrumentalist, she studied flute, oboe and piano in her early years, then later learned percussion and guitar.

Jen regularly performs as a solo artist, live looping and accompanying herself on 6 or 12 string acoustic guitars or electric guitar, flute and percussion.

Her musical projects include the 4-5 piece band: Jen Ambrose & The Fantastics is the rock version of her solo and duo shows and includes rich harmonies and instrumentation on her original music and covers that span her traditional Blues, Rock, Jazz, Soul and Americana genres.

Made for the big stage, The Polyphonic Symphony includes the musicians from her latest Tidal Wave CD. Some of the region's finest musicians are featured in this multi-instrumental, dynamic 10-piece band which highlights her powerful vocals and dynamic song writing. Instruments include drums, bass, full horns section, keys, violin, dobro, mandolin, bass, guitars, flute and drums.

Jen is also being booked through Sound Stage Revue. This 10-piece band includes 3 female vocalists and full band. Shows are seen at many regional Concerts in the Parks, and area Casinos and private events.

ORBA (Oregon Booking Agency) is also booking Jen's Nothin' But The Blues shows highlighting her original Blues material and Blues standards. These shows have been solo and duo - with many premier blues guitarists in the area.

Also, Jen is working with well-known keyboardist - Annieville Blues on their Sentimental Journey featuring Jazz and Blues Classics plus contemporary, 80's and original material.

A frequent performer throughout the Northwest, Jen Ambrose is seen in a diversity of settings ranging from regional wineries, Casinos and Concerts in the Parks to main stage performer at the Seattle Hempfest and opening for a number of well-known artists including hip-hop musician Michael Franti & Spearhead and reggae musicians Pablo Moses and The Norma Frazier Band. Jen Ambrose has opened for musical virtuosity Jackie Greene, songstress Dar Williams, Colin Hay (of 80’s band Men at Work) and for 60’s folk/rock legend Donovan.
