StoneRiver Vineyards is proud to announce that our 2018 Chardonnay won three awards at the 2021 Oregon Wine Competition. Our 2018 Chardonnay won Double Gold and Best of Class for Chardonnay and Best of Show for White Wine.
343 wines from 82 wineries across 17 American Viticultural Areas (AVA) in Oregon competed this year. There were three Best of Show winners, four Best of Class honorees, and eight wines that merited a Double Gold. In addition there were 14 Gold and 152 Silver medals awarded.
Our appreciation and thanks goes out to all those at StoneRiver Vineyards who contributed to this honor: Patrick Lange, Jamie Lange, Paula Luz, Alberto Guttierez, and Steven Lange.
Special thanks also goes out to our Winemaker, Jonathan Oberlander, of J. Scott Cellars, in Eugene, Oregon. Jonathan has been our winemaker since 2013 and has produced 25 vintages for us. 23 of those vintages have received 45 gold or higher awards. Truly a remarkable achievement , an extraordinary winemaker and very special person.
